Branch Manager, Operations, Road

About the role

The Branch Manager, Operations, Road will lead the staff, resources and client relationships of the Bloemfontein branch. The role ensures delivery of the service catalogue, financial performance and compliance with internal and external standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations, ensuring cost efficiency, productivity and service delivery to clients.
• Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, P&L management and gross profit targets.
• Maintain compliance with LRA, BCEA, QSHE and other regulatory requirements.
• Drive customer satisfaction by handling complaints, delivery failures and root‑cause analysis.
• Lead, develop and motivate the branch team, conducting performance reviews and succession planning.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of people‑management experience and 5 years in logistics, warehousing or transport operations.
• At least 3 years of budgeting and financial control experience with ability to read P&L statements.
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle and willingness to travel within South Africa.
• Matric and a diploma or degree in Transport, Logistics, Supply Chain or Business Management.

• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (intermediate proficiency).
• Webcost and SAP (intermediate proficiency).
