Audit Senior – Chartered Accountants & Auditors

About the role

We are a rapidly growing audit firm with offices in Bellville and Kenilworth, Cape Town, seeking experienced Audit Seniors to join our team of experienced professionals. The purpose of the role is to ensure successful completion of assigned audit engagements while managing and directing daily activities of trainee accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Provide junior staff with clear direction, goals and objectives.
• Delegate work appropriately and fairly to trainee accountants.
• Set appropriate standards and create a positive work climate.
• Provide coaching and training to improve performance.
• Perform audit fieldwork.
• Produce clear, concise and error‑free reports.
• Apply technical expertise and analyse data effectively.
• Finalise and propose the audit opinion.

Required profile

• B.Comm / B.Compt degree.
• Successful completion of an audit traineeship (articles).
• Proficient in applying IFRS for SMEs, IFRS and ISA.
• Ability to complete an entire audit file and to delegate and follow‑up on tasks.
• Excellent writing, reporting, planning and organising skills.
• Experience mentoring and supervising staff on specific audits.
