About the role
The Assistant Procurement Manager will support One&Only Cape Town’s hospitality operations by overseeing sourcing, vendor management and cost control. This role ensures that all products and services required by the property are procured efficiently, meeting quality standards while contributing to the hotel’s bottom line.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and manage procurement activities, streamlining processes for departmental efficiency.
- Source all products and services needed across the property and negotiate pricing, discounts, and contracts.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with department heads, suppliers, and vendors.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date supplier base and monitor market and price trends.
- Control costs in line with the hotel budget and ensure contractual terms are adhered to.
- Enter and maintain vendor information in the Iscala procurement system.
- Oversee daily purchase order workbench, including order creation, amendment, and cancellation.
Required profile
- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within a hospitality environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Excellent analytical abilities to monitor market trends and cost data.
- Effective communication and relationship‑building with internal departments and external suppliers.
- Attention to detail in contract management and vendor data integrity.
