Area Branch Manager – Global Distributor Networks (Gauteng)

About the role

Otis, a global leader in elevators and escalators, is seeking an Area Branch Manager for its Global Distributor Networks (GDN) in Gauteng. The role combines commercial leadership, technical coordination and distributor development to grow Otis’s market share across the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Define commercial strategy and priorities for each assigned distributor.
• Support distributor training on new products, codes, tools and sales practices.
• Review quotation requests and tenders, assessing technical feasibility, traffic analysis, sourcing options and pricing.
• Coordinate with factories and internal teams to build competitive, compliant offers.
• Negotiate financial conditions, discounts, payment terms and margins.
• Negotiate or support distribution contracts and commercial terms.
• Develop new equipment business and identify modernization/service opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with key distributors, clients, contractors and consultants.
• Participate in customer events, seminars, site and factory visits.
• Monitor market trends, competition and propose business development actions.
• Ensure compliance with company ethics, documentation discipline and internal controls.
• Contribute to transversal GDN initiatives and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales Management or a related field (preferred).
• 7‑10 years of experience in the lift industry or a similar sector.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Focus on safety, ethics and quality.
