Accounts Payable – Tax & Treasury Specialist

About the role

Metso is looking for an Accounts Payable professional to manage foreign vendor reconciliation and payments. The role supports cash‑flow optimisation and compliance with South African Reserve Bank regulations while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Process external and intercompany payments in line with SARB regulations and agreed terms.
• Reconcile foreign and intercompany vendor statements against ledger balances and resolve discrepancies monthly.
• Validate invoices and credit notes to prevent duplicate payments.
• Follow up on reconciling items, disputes and queries with vendors, internal buyers or entities.
• Prepare payment files, including FastTrack netting payments, with correct currency and banking details.
• Generate monthly age analysis in SAP and clear ageing items.
• Support monthly cash‑flow planning and compile remittance reports.

Required profile

• Experience in accounts payable and vendor statement reconciliation.
• Familiarity with South African Reserve Bank (SARB) payment regulations.
• Ability to work with multiple internal teams such as Treasury, Procurement and Global Shared Services.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
