Account Manager - Direct Sales

About the role

We are looking for an Account Manager – Direct Sales to own the profitability of assigned fuel and lubricant customers. The role combines financial responsibility, sales planning and cross‑functional coordination to meet volume and margin targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage individual customer profitability metrics, including P&L, sales revenue and balance‑sheet impact for lubricants and fuels.
• Monitor monthly performance, drive action plans and ensure volume and margin targets are achieved.
• Control operating expenses and CAPEX budgeting for the assigned customer portfolio.
• Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies across all trade classes, aligning with the business plan.
• Track market and competitor activity to identify new business and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal logistics, supply and credit teams and external partners such as Pragma and Fairbanks.

Required profile

• Completion of training as defined in the Skills Plan and Individual Development Plan.
• Regular coaching sessions with line manager and adherence to Astron Energy values.
• Demonstrated ability to drive customer‑centric initiatives such as inventory forecasting and satisfaction surveys.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Hubspot CRM.
• Experience using SAC (Strategic Analytics Console) or similar analytics tools.
• Familiarity with the CPT budgeting tool.
