24‑Month Internship Programme – Engineering & ICT Roles

About the role

Magalies Water is offering a 24‑month internship programme aimed at South African graduates and students who wish to gain practical experience in water services and related engineering and ICT fields. The programme provides placements across several locations, including Mafikeng, Brits, Vaalkop, Padda Junction and the corporate head office. Interns will be assigned to specific departments such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Water Services, GIS/Geomatics and Information Technology, depending on their qualifications.

Required profile

• South African citizenship, aged between 18 and 35 years.
• Minimum qualification of NQF Level 6 (e.g., BSc, BEng, NDip, or equivalent) in the relevant field of study.
• Interest in civil, mechanical, water services, GIS/geomatics, or information technology disciplines as listed.

What we offer

• A monthly stipend of R7 500.00.
• A fixed 24‑month internship contract.
• Placement in one of the following departments: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Water Services, GIS/Geomatics, or ICT.
• Opportunity to work at operational sites such as Mafikeng, Brits, Vaalkot and Padda Junction, as well as at the corporate head office.
