Workshop Manager – Automotive Service Center

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to lead our automotive service centre in Johannesburg. The role is full‑time, on‑site and focuses on delivering high‑quality repair and maintenance services while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily workshop operations and supervise a team of technicians and support staff.
• Plan and coordinate repair and maintenance schedules to meet customer deadlines.
• Maintain inventory levels, order parts, and control stock accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and uphold quality standards.
• Manage client communications, provide estimates, and guarantee timely service delivery.
• Monitor budgets, track performance metrics and implement process improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in workshop management and team leadership.
• Strong technical knowledge of automotive mechanics, diagnostics and repair procedures.
• Proficiency with inventory control, scheduling and workshop management software.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a workshop environment.
• Ability to manage budgets and drive operational efficiency.
