Solutions Architect – Payments (Issuing & Acquiring)

About the role

The Solutions Architect will shape and deliver robust solution designs and architectures within the payments ecosystem, focusing on issuing and acquiring for banks and fintechs. This role leads the creation of integrated, end‑to‑end technical solutions that optimise back‑end systems, ensure scalability and enable secure, seamless transaction flows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect payments solutions for issuing and acquiring, working closely with implementation teams in the Card Payments area.
• Lead solution proposals through governance forums and obtain acceptance from domain and technology specialists.
• Decompose solutions, schedule work, identify resourcing needs and contribute to functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, communicate designs and secure buy‑in.
• Assist software designers with lower‑level designs and troubleshoot technical delivery issues.
• Apply a holistic, sustainable mindset and a product‑management perspective to ensure long‑term value.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and architecting payments solutions for issuing and acquiring.
• Demonstrated inspirational leadership guiding teams toward modern architectures.
• Strong knowledge of engineering and software delivery for high‑performance payments platforms.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and navigate governance processes.
