Senior Tour Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tour Consultant to join a dynamic, luxury‑focused travel brand that creates tailor‑made experiences across Southern and East Africa. The successful candidate will combine deep destination knowledge with strong sales expertise to design and sell bespoke itineraries for discerning global travelers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow relationships with international travel agents.
• Prepare accurate quotations, proposals and timely responses to client briefs.
• Plan, develop and launch new travel products and programmes.
• Manage financial aspects, including revenue control and budgeting.
• Represent the company at dinners, study tours, meet‑and‑greets and industry events.
• Drive new initiatives and conduct regular quality‑assurance checks.
• Handle emergencies and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience in a travel‑related role.
• Comprehensive, insider knowledge of African destinations, including hidden spots.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Creative thinker who can design unique itineraries.
• Proactive, self‑driven and able to work under pressure.
• Strategic mindset and up‑to‑date on industry trends.
