Senior Mobile Engineer (Kotlin Multiplatform) – Hybrid, Cape Town

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to lead the development of our cross‑platform mobile products using Kotlin Multiplatform. The role is based in Cape Town and operates in a hybrid model, collaborating closely with product, design, backend and engineering teams to deliver high‑quality experiences for international consumers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable mobile applications for Android and iOS using shared Kotlin Multiplatform modules.
• Integrate mobile apps with backend APIs and third‑party services, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Contribute to technical direction, code quality standards, and platform scalability.
• Maintain automated testing suites, CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and work closely with cross‑functional product and engineering teams.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional experience in mobile software engineering.
• Proven track record building and scaling production mobile applications.
• Experience with cross‑platform mobile development, preferably Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, modularisation and maintainable design.
• Hands‑on experience with RESTful APIs, networking and mobile performance optimisation.
• Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments.
