Senior Manager – Sustainability Integration and Reporting

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the integration and reporting of environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives across the Group. The role ensures that sustainability policies, data collection and disclosures are aligned, accurate and deliver a coherent story to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee ESG and sustainability policy integration, ensuring the three pillars of the Group’s strategy work together.
• Lead the production of all sustainability reporting, including Sustainability & Climate reports, ESG data and Disclosure booklets, and ratings agency submissions.
• Implement tools and processes to improve data accuracy, collection and analytics, embedding reporting into business‑as‑usual.
• Identify material ESG issues, emerging trends and risks, and work with Risk and Compliance functions to mitigate reputational impacts.
• Draft, obtain approval for, and roll out new policies in line with ESG standards and the Group’s ambitions.
• Provide guidance on compliance with frameworks such as GRI, SASB, JSE, IFRS S1/S2 and King V.
• Manage internal assurance processes for ESG disclosures and present insights to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in ESG integration, sustainability reporting and policy development.
• Strong understanding of global ESG frameworks and rating methodologies.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Risk, Compliance and business units.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting data‑driven insights to internal and external stakeholders.
