Paralegal – PII Compliance (Remote, $40-$70/hr)

About the role

We are seeking a remote Paralegal / Legal Assistant specialized in Personally Identifiable Information (PII) compliance. You will work on high‑stakes M&A documentation while ensuring data privacy and regulatory adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Review, redact, and generalize sensitive documents to meet PII regulations while preserving data utility.
• Prepare and manage Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs), and other critical deal documents.
• Implement and maintain compliance protocols and reconciliation processes for complex data sets.
• Advise clients on structural identifiability of confidential workflows and proprietary procedures.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and finance teams to resolve PII‑related issues.
• Assist in drafting and updating compliance policies and training materials.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with PII compliance in a legal or corporate setting.
• Ability to identify non‑obvious PII and apply advanced redaction techniques.
• Solid understanding of M&A processes, including CIMs and SPAs.
• Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and managing sensitive financial and corporate documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.
