Motor Technician – Automotive Workshop (Durban)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified, trade‑tested Motor Vehicle Technician to join a high‑volume dealership workshop in Durban. The role involves performing maintenance, complex diagnostics and repairs while supporting a team focused on efficiency and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, major mechanical repairs and component replacements.
• Conduct advanced diagnostics and fault‑finding using modern vehicle diagnostic equipment.
• Complete repair orders within manufacturer timeframes and OEM quality standards.
• Maintain workshop health, safety and environmental protocols.
• Participate in ongoing brand and technical training.
• Deliver excellent customer service both technically and face‑to‑face.

Required profile

• Valid South African Trade Test Certificate (Motor Mechanic / Motor Vehicle Technician).
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in a franchise dealership workshop.
• Valid South African driver’s licence and clear criminal record.

Required skills

• Vehicle diagnostics using modern equipment.
• Electronic troubleshooting.
• Mechanical repairs.
