MinePlan Engineer I – Technical Support for MineSight

About the role

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is looking for a MinePlan Engineer I to ensure the effective operation of Hexagon Mining’s mine planning software at customer sites across South Africa. You will provide high‑level technical support for MineSight, troubleshoot complex issues, and help optimise solutions that improve safety, productivity and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver masterful troubleshooting and timely solutions for MineSight software worldwide.
• Adhere to support schedules and act as the primary contact for client issues.
• Collaborate with the technical support team and take ownership of issues through resolution or escalation.
• Participate in on‑call after‑hours support and follow established support processes.
• Provide technical leadership, cross‑skill teammates, and create FAQs and self‑service videos.
• Document defects and enhancement requests for the product development team.
• Maintain case documentation and comply with health and safety policies.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to work dynamically in a technical support environment.
• Residency within South Africa.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MineSight and Hexagon Mining planning software.
• Advanced troubleshooting and technical support skills.
• Experience creating documentation, FAQs and instructional videos.
• On‑call support experience.
