MinePlan Engineer I

About the role

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is looking for a MinePlan Engineer I to ensure the effective operation of its mine planning software at customer sites across South Africa. The role combines high‑level technical support, troubleshooting and optimisation of mining solutions to improve safety, productivity and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert troubleshooting and timely solutions for MineSight software worldwide.
• Adhere to support schedules, ensuring clients receive prompt assistance and are not left waiting.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, collaborating with the support team on enhancements and issue resolution.
• Participate in on‑call after‑hours support and follow established support processes.
• Create and maintain FAQs, self‑service videos and documentation for both customers and product development.
• Identify and report software defects and enhancement requests to the product team.
• Communicate potential customer issues and service opportunities to the sales team.
• Represent Hexagon Mining professionally while complying with health and safety policies.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic, customer‑focused team.
• Willingness to reside in South Africa and travel to customer sites as needed.
• Readiness to participate in after‑hours on‑call support.
• Professional communication skills and a commitment to health and safety standards.
