Medical Writer – Join Inizio Medical Team in South Africa

About the role

Inizio Medical is expanding its award‑winning team of medical writers in South Africa. You will work alongside global teams across the US, UK, EU and South Africa, contributing to cutting‑edge scientific communications for a variety of therapy areas.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop technical medical material in line with client briefs.
• Ensure all outputs are accurate, well‑referenced, and meet editorial style standards.
• Liaise with clients and medical experts to shape content.
• Attend scientific and client meetings where deliverables are required.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in a biomedical discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong scientific writing and editing ability.
• Experience producing scientific publications and conference presentations.
• Ability to generate high‑quality materials with minimal supervision.
• Strong project‑management, organisational and time‑management skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail for style, grammar, scientific accuracy and layout.
• Solid understanding of human pathophysiology, pharmaceutical and health‑related issues.
• Self‑motivated, responsible, and able to work independently and within a team.
