Managed Services Trainee

About the role

Join Advania’s Managed Services team as a Trainee and start your career in technology while supporting real clients. Based in Cape Town, you will work alongside a group of ten trainee‑engineers, gaining hands‑on experience in a supportive, development‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a solid understanding of Microsoft technologies and how they are applied in a Managed Services setting.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to deliver proactive, reliable IT support to clients.
• Assist in cloud management, security, infrastructure and operational efficiency projects.
• Engage with clients to identify challenges, propose solutions and ensure smooth ongoing management.
• Participate in weekly on‑site work at the Century City office, contributing to team meetings and client interactions.

Required profile

• Resident of Cape Town or the Western Cape, able to work on‑site weekly.
• Minimum qualification: an Information Technology‑related diploma.
• Strong interest in Microsoft technologies and a willingness to learn.
• Clear, confident communication skills for both group settings and client interactions.
• Evidence of extracurricular tech projects, activities or interests.
• Curiosity, motivation and versatility to adapt strategies and solve client problems.
