Maintenance Technician – Production (Midrand)

About the role

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join its Production department in Midrand. The successful candidate will ensure reliable operation of plant equipment through effective fault‑finding, maintenance execution, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on production equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks according to schedule.
• Conduct equipment inspections and condition monitoring to anticipate failures.
• Utilise the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to log work orders and track maintenance history.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and OEM documentation for accurate repairs.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements.
• Support root‑cause analysis investigations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant mechanical or electrical maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to work safely and follow strict compliance procedures.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail.
