Maintenance Technician – Bethlehem Tower

About the role

The John Stewart Company is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to join the Bethlehem Tower team. You will ensure the property remains safe, functional, and welcoming for residents by handling a wide range of maintenance tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and respond to work orders, following up with residents and management.
• Perform preventative, cosmetic, and routine maintenance throughout the community.
• Prepare units for new move‑ins, conduct move‑in/move‑out inspections, and meet turnover deadlines.
• Carry out quarterly inspections with the Property Manager.
• Repair and troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and masonry issues.
• Coordinate and oversee vendor work as needed.
• Provide on‑call emergency coverage for off‑shift and weekend periods.
• Live on‑site in a 2‑bedroom apartment.

Required profile

• Ability to work on‑call and reliable personal transportation.
• Basic mathematical and computer skills; fluency in English (bilingual a plus).
• Strong time‑management abilities.
• Minimum two years of experience performing similar maintenance tasks in an apartment or comparable setting.
• Knowledge of REAC or other regulatory inspections is a plus.
