Legal Counsel – Intellectual Property (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

The Group is seeking a Legal Counsel specialized in Intellectual Property on a fixed‑term basis. You will provide sound legal advice, manage contractual matters and support the business across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, review and vet a wide range of commercial agreements and contracts.
• Provide legal risk management and advice on local, regional and international legislation.
• Support Intellectual Property matters and advise on related regulatory issues.
• Develop tactical strategies, governance frameworks and delivery plans for legal services.
• Manage project timelines, resources and external legal spend, ensuring cost control and accurate invoicing.
• Drive innovation and digital capabilities within the legal function.

Required profile

• Legal qualification with admission as an attorney of the High Court.
• 3–5 years post‑admission experience, preferably in commercial and contractual law.
• Exposure to Intellectual Property, financial and regulatory matters across private and public sectors.
• Strong relationship‑management skills and ability to work independently while collaborating with business stakeholders.
