Junior/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor – Site Based

About the role

The client is seeking a Junior/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to work on site‑based projects in Johannesburg and Pretoria. You will support the Senior Quantity Surveyor by measuring, valuating and reporting on construction work, ensuring accurate interim valuations and timely sub‑contractor payments.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate quantities from architects' and engineers' drawings.
• Measure work in progress directly on site.
• Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor with interim monthly valuations of completed works.
• Support the preparation of sub‑contractor payment applications.
• Apply general knowledge of JBCC contracts throughout the measurement process.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in site‑based quantity surveying.
• Availability to work on projects in Johannesburg and Pretoria.
• Professional fluency in English and Afrikaans; additional indigenous languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CANDY software.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of JBCC contracts.
