Human Resources Development Officer (2 positions)

About the role

The Group Human Resources Department is looking for two qualified Human Resources Development Officers to join our Head Office in Durban. You will design, facilitate and implement training programmes that align with business objectives and support skills development across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and deliver tailored learning programmes and standardized curriculum aligned with organisational frameworks.
• Conduct functional learning interventions for diverse audiences using interactive delivery methods.
• Create evaluation metrics to measure training effectiveness, skills transfer and organisational impact.
• Identify learner needs, assess performance, resolve obstacles and provide ongoing mentorship.
• Facilitate core workplace training, on‑the‑job assessments, multi‑skilling and problem‑solving workshops.
• Partner with management and operational teams to integrate HRD processes.
• Introduce digital tools and modern methodologies into traditional training frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or HR Development (NQF Level 7 or equivalent).
• 3–5 years experience in instructional design, workplace training and development facilitation.
• Accredited to facilitate/assess Office Supervision, Culinary/Chef and Mortician/Mortuary Science qualifications.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• High‑level data analysis capabilities.
