Graduate Engineer – Technical Risk Management

About the role

Fraser Alexander Tailings (FAT) is seeking a technically capable and self‑motivated Graduate Engineer to support the management of technical risk across multiple tailings storage facilities (TSFs). This entry‑level position will work closely with regional engineers to identify, assess, manage, monitor, and report on technical risks associated with TSFs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist regional engineers in identifying technical risks at TSFs.
• Conduct risk assessments and contribute to risk management plans.
• Monitor ongoing risk indicators and maintain up‑to‑date records.
• Prepare and deliver regular risk monitoring and reporting documentation.
• Support the implementation of risk mitigation measures.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in engineering (civil, mining, environmental or related).
• Strong analytical mindset with a keen interest in technical risk.
• Self‑motivated and able to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
