About the role
The President Hotel is embarking on a journey toward luxury and needs an Events Coordinator to bring unforgettable experiences to life. Based on the Atlantic Ocean with Lion's Head as a backdrop, you will design and execute bespoke events that leave a lasting impression on our guests.
Key responsibilities
- Assist clients in planning and customizing events, ensuring all preferences are met.
- Coordinate venue setup, catering, audiovisual equipment, transportation, and other logistics.
- Maintain up‑to‑date event calendars, schedules, and distribute orders to internal departments.
- Serve as the primary client contact, handling enquiries, changes, and site visits.
- Maintain accurate records, contracts, budgets, and billing; generate invoices and reconcile payments.
- Monitor event quality, gather feedback, and continuously improve the guest experience.
Required profile
- Matric certificate minimum; Hotel School Diploma advantageous.
- Fluent in the primary language used in the workplace and by guests.
- Proven experience coordinating events in a large 4‑ or 5‑star hotel.
- Strong teamwork, accountability, and integrity values.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of Opera PMS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
