About the role

Sterling & Law is seeking an experienced, self‑employed Estate Planner and Inheritance Tax Adviser to join its wealth‑management team. Based in London or the South of England, you will work directly with high‑net‑worth clients, helping them preserve and transfer wealth efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic estate‑planning services, including wills, trusts and wealth‑transfer structures.
• Deliver comprehensive inheritance‑tax advice and develop tax‑mitigation strategies.
• Design and implement gifting, charitable‑giving and asset‑protection plans.
• Advise business owners on succession planning to ensure continuity.
• Stay up‑to‑date with UK estate and inheritance‑tax legislation to ensure compliance.
• Regularly review and update client plans to reflect changes in circumstances or law.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an estate planner or inheritance‑tax adviser serving high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Strong understanding of UK wills, trusts, business succession and charitable‑planning structures.
• Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Self‑motivated, able to manage a freelance practice and meet client deadlines.

• Expertise in drafting wills, establishing trusts and structuring wealth‑transfer mechanisms.
