Duty Manager – Hotel Operations (Cape Town)

About the role

The Duty Manager will lead daily hotel operations on the Cape Town property of The Oyster Collection. This full‑time, on‑site role ensures smooth front‑of‑house service, high guest satisfaction and adherence to health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise front desk and guest services teams, managing check‑ins, check‑outs and accurate billing using the Semper system.
• Handle guest queries, complaints and special requests with empathy and prompt resolution.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance and food & beverage teams to maintain property presentation and address issues quickly.
• Support staff scheduling, training and performance monitoring.
• Monitor and enforce operational procedures, health and safety standards, and cash‑up processes.
• Prepare basic administrative reports and communicate operational issues to senior management.
