Construction Supervisor – Airport Runway Project

About the role

The Construction Supervisor will lead on‑site activities for an airport runway project, ensuring that all works are delivered safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards. This senior position requires extensive experience in civil engineering construction, particularly in airport and road infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all construction activities on airport runways, taxiways, aprons and related civil works.
• Monitor compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations throughout the project.
• Interpret and apply technical drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and on‑site personnel to achieve project milestones.
• Report progress, issues and risks to senior management and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering.
• Registration with SACPCMP as a Professional Construction Manager or with ECSA as a Technologist.
• 10–18+ years of construction experience, including at least 5 years as a Construction Manager or Site Agent.
• Demonstrated experience in airport runway construction, taxiways, aprons, national roads, highways or major road rehabilitation projects.
