Commercial Manager

About the role

The Commercial Manager will provide direct commercial support and insight to finance and customer teams, as well as to principals and customers. This role is responsible for driving profitability, managing pricing negotiations and contracts, and supporting strategic decision‑making across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the formulation and implementation of the national commercial strategy with a 2‑to‑5‑year outlook.
• Calculate and provide accurate pricing information for annual negotiations and manage formula‑based adjustments.
• Review customer and principal pricing contracts, negotiate annually, and ensure profitability targets are met.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, identify rate‑reduction and efficiency opportunities, and support pricing decisions.
• Draft new contracts and service level agreements in collaboration with legal, customer, and finance teams, and monitor existing contract terms.
• Allocate charges to customers and principals in line with agreed rates and keep finance informed of correct pricing.
• Compile and review budgeting and sales forecasting results, analyse revenue drivers, and produce monthly performance reports.
• Lead commercial strategy reviews and report findings to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience providing commercial support to finance and customer functions.
• Strong understanding of pricing, contract management and profitability analysis.
• Ability to develop commercial engagement across the organisation and influence strategic decisions.
• Analytical mindset with experience in budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
