Business Consultant – SMB (Cape Town)

About the role

As a Business Consultant in the SMB department, you will partner with South African businesses to enhance and transform their hiring processes using Pnet’s solutions. You will play a key part in driving growth for the Pnet platform while contributing to the broader success of the StepStone Group.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and manage high‑quality leads through diverse sourcing techniques.
• Prospect, cold‑call, and close deals, persuading businesses to adopt Pnet solutions.
• Maintain and grow client relationships, track product usage, and identify upsell opportunities.
• Renew contracts and ensure client satisfaction.
• Accurately handle administrative tasks and reporting using the CRM system.
• Continuously develop skills to improve productivity and results.

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales track record.
• Strong cold‑calling and telephone communication abilities.
• Clear, persuasive articulation of solutions both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to listen attentively and understand customer needs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
