About the role
The Branch Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation, profitability, and sales performance of an African Bank branch. The role involves leading a team, driving product sales, and ensuring excellent client service throughout the sales lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve all sales targets and growth objectives, including client acquisition, retention, and reactivation.
- Promote and sell existing and new bank products, conduct tele‑sales, generate leads, and follow up with prospective clients.
- Manage loan application processes: capture data, verify documentation, explain terms, and ensure timely communication with clients.
- Oversee the branch’s profit & loss, budgeting, and expense management.
- Develop and execute market plans, collaborate with the Trade Area Manager on acquisition strategies, and lead marketing campaigns.
- Supervise staff, ensuring they meet individual sales and service goals, and conduct regular check‑ins and huddles.
- Represent the bank in local community organisations to enhance brand visibility and uncover business opportunities.
Required profile
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and drive branch growth.
- Experience supervising staff and managing day‑to‑day branch operations.
- Strong understanding of loan application procedures and banking products.
- Capability to manage P&L, budgeting, and expense control.
