Banking & Finance Attorney – Bilateral & Syndicated Lending

About the role

We are seeking a mid‑level Banking & Finance Lawyer to join a specialist team that supports global banking clients on high‑volume, high‑value lending transactions. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating and amending a wide range of commercial lending and banking documents while applying sound legal judgement across complex transaction scenarios.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and amend facility letters, bilateral and syndicated loan agreements, security documents, corporate approvals, board resolutions and ancillary documentation.
• Manage document workflows from initial draft through execution, ensuring version control and efficient progression.
• Handle legal queries independently, providing risk assessments and practical recommendations.
• Identify inconsistencies or legal/commercial risks across document sets and resolve or escalate them appropriately.
• Apply consistent legal standards across multiple templates, playbooks and structured frameworks.
• Support the maintenance and refinement of templates, drafting notes and guidance materials.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction execution.

Required profile

• 5+ years post‑admission experience in Banking & Finance, commercial lending or a closely related transactional practice.
• Proven experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating bilateral and/or syndicated lending documentation, preferably LMA‑style.
• Strong legal analysis, risk assessment and commercial mindset.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial lending and banking documents.
• Familiarity with LMA‑style finance documentation and syndicated loan structures.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders such as credit, compliance, tax and external counsel.
