Automotive Paint Mixer / Colour Matcher – Johannesburg

About the role

Our client in the automotive industry is looking for an experienced Paint Mixer / Colour Matcher to work on‑site at a client location in Johannesburg. The role requires a strong eye for colour and the ability to accurately match colours from customer samples while handling high‑volume paint mixing.

Key responsibilities

• Mix and formulate automotive paints using computer‑based systems, ensuring consistent quality and meeting tight deadlines.
• Accurately match colours from customer samples and maintain detailed records of formulations.
• Manage high‑volume paint production in a fast‑paced environment while adhering to safety and housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ hands‑on experience as a Paint Mixer / Colour Matcher, preferably in automotive paint.
• Strong knowledge of automotive paint systems, paint binders and light industrial paint systems.
• Excellent colour perception, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team.
