Warehouse Supervisor - Outbound Department

About the position

Join Absolute Pets, South Africa's leading premium pet food and accessories retailer with over 200 stores. We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Warehouse Supervisor to lead our Outbound Department at our Cape Town (Marconi Beam) facility.

Main Missions

• Plan, organize, and control all outbound shipping processes to ensure seamless operations.
• Lead and manage the outbound team, including pickers, packers, drivers, and the QC team.
• Coordinate daily task planning and manage store-to-store and warehouse-to-warehouse deliveries.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure strict adherence to SLAs.
• Oversee fleet management and optimize vehicle usage.
• Implement measures to reduce stock damage and losses while ensuring high order accuracy.
• Conduct daily briefings and performance reviews to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Profile sought

• Proven experience in warehouse supervision, specifically within outbound logistics.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and drive performance.
• Highly organized with a meticulous approach to quality control and process compliance.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail distribution environment.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in WMS software (experience with Ador system is a significant advantage).
• Expertise in logistics planning and fleet coordination.
• Strong analytical skills for KPI management and reporting.
• Excellent team management and communication abilities.
• Deep understanding of inventory control and loss prevention.
