Transport Driver – Clinical Waste & Store Delivery

About the role

The Transport Department of NHS Grampian is seeking a reliable driver to handle the daily collection and delivery of stores, laundry, and clinical waste across multiple sites. This position involves operating a vehicle, loading and unloading various items, and ensuring safe transport to designated locations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and deliver stores, laundry, and clinical waste from numerous collection points.
• Load and unload cages, waste bags, and containers safely each day.
• Perform daily vehicle checks, cleaning, and routine maintenance.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate records of each run.
• Stock the vehicle appropriately for daily routes.

Required profile

• Full driving licence for Category C1 (Category C desirable).
• Ability to work unsupervised and follow high‑standard procedures.
• Strong punctuality, reliability, and professional presentation.
• Good face‑to‑face communication skills.
