Traffic Officer (2 positions) – Municipal Role

The Dannhauser Municipality is recruiting two Traffic Officers for its Community Services department. An earlier advertisement contained incorrect qualification details; this erratum corrects the required credentials.

Applicants must have a Matric certificate and a Basic Traffic Officer Diploma (NQF Level 4) or an equivalent tertiary qualification, and be currently registered with the Department of Transport. One to two years of relevant experience is required. Candidates must be able to communicate in both IsiZulu and English, hold a valid Code B or EB driver’s licence, and be eligible for registration as a Peace Officer. Additional advantages include qualification as an Examiner for learner and driver licences and as a NATIS Officer.

Computer literacy is essential, specifically proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and applicants must possess firearm proficiency. All candidates will undergo qualification and South African citizenship verification, as well as security vetting. Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by SAQA.
