Tax Analyst

About the role

Sonata One is seeking an experienced Tax Analyst to join its global team. You will be responsible for collecting, validating, and reporting FATCA, CRS and withholding tax data, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and supporting both internal staff and external clients.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Tax Team Lead to identify training needs and improve productivity.
• Classify entities using the in‑house model and complete registrations on IRS and jurisdictional tax portals.
• Perform initial reviews of investor data, work with clients to resolve deficiencies, and submit FATCA and CRS filings to the appropriate authorities.
• Stay current with FATCA and CRS schema changes and maintain accurate records.
• Complete and validate W‑forms and CRS self‑certification forms on behalf of client entities and investors.
• Develop the ability to perform all tasks independently over time.

Required profile

• Exposure to FATCA, CRS, W‑series documentation and tax self‑certifications.
• Knowledge of XML is desirable.
• KYC & AML experience preferred but not essential.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
