Software Engineer: Full Stack

About the role

Capitec is looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer (Level 2) to support client‑facing applications used in bank branches. The role works with a hybrid technology stack that includes C#, Java, AWS and modern web technologies, focusing on modernising branch systems such as biometric, queuing, monitoring and paper‑less solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and support branch‑facing applications and systems.
• Collaborate daily with team members and other departments to achieve project goals.
• Participate in meetings, agile ceremonies and resolve production issues as needed.
• Work from a prioritized backlog, ensuring high‑quality service delivery.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of experience in software development.
• Grade 12 education with a relevant IT qualification.
• Clear criminal and credit record.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• C# programming.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) – Cloud Practitioner level.
• Java development.
• Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and full‑stack development concepts.
