Software Developer Graduate Internship 2026

About the role

We are looking for final‑year or post‑graduate Computer Science or Information Systems students to join Singular as a Software Developer Graduate Intern for a three‑week, full‑time placement in June/July 2026. The role is based on‑site in either Johannesburg or Cape Town and offers hands‑on experience within our software delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and navigate Singular’s code libraries while improving your coding skills.
• Write, maintain and test code using the technologies adopted by the team.
• Address minor bug fixes and respond to development‑team requests.
• Conduct development tests and assist in quality assurance activities.
• Contribute to the analysis of client requirements.

Required profile

• Willingness to learn and resilience to handle a steep learning curve.
• Passion for software development and a focus on high‑quality, maintainable code.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and problem‑solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills.
