Senior Structural Engineer – Cape Town

About the role

Our client, a leading engineering and project services organisation, is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their Cape Town team. The role offers the chance to lead design management, oversee project implementation and coordinate with diverse stakeholders across built‑environment projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage internal and external stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Lead design management and project implementation activities.
• Oversee project documentation, quality assurance and construction monitoring.
• Support contract administration and assist with project budgets and cost control.
• Mentor and manage support staff.
• Contribute to business development, networking and client relationship building.

Required profile

• BSc, BTech or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr. Tech.).
• Minimum 5 years post‑registration experience.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
• Experience in building‑related projects, design management and construction monitoring.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Prokon.
• Experience with AEC, Revit or BIM platforms (advantageous).
