Senior Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex technical projects in a client environment. The role involves scoping, budgeting, risk and issue management, and delivering projects on time while applying Business Analysis and SDLC knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Compile business cases, requirements and process maps.
• Create and manage project schedules, statements of work, backlogs and task prioritisation.
• Manage project RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
• Oversee project integration, change, budget and cost management, including procurement and reporting.
• Ensure quality management, conflict resolution and negotiations.
• Coordinate cross‑functional, multi‑disciplinary technical teams.
• Handle release and configuration management and provide steering committee reporting.
• Adhere to internal processes and standards.

Required profile

• Tertiary degree, diploma or certificate in Programme or Project Management.
• PMP certification (mandatory).
• Agile practitioner (SAFe or Scrum) preferred or willingness to certify shortly after onboarding.
• 3‑6 years of project‑management experience (10+ years overall experience).
• Experience with enterprise software and data projects in digital‑technology environments.
• Background in the Mining or Banking industry is advantageous.
• Product lifecycle management experience.
• Experience as a Scrum Master or EPIC Owner is beneficial.
• Knowledge of COBIT and ITIL is a plus.
