Join a global leader in the mining industry to take on a critical role in project engineering and maintenance. As a Mechanical Maintenance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence, safety compliance, and technical integrity during key project construction phases.

Missions principales

• Ensure full compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act across all mechanical and electrical engineering activities.
• Manage and enforce all SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) and MM (Materials Management) requirements for the project.
• Provide expert technical assistance to the engineering department regarding all maintenance-related needs.
• Supervise all engineering installations during the project construction phase to guarantee high-quality execution.
• Monitor, capture, and update routine technical reports and perform necessary administrative tasks.
• Oversee on-site engineering works to ensure they are completed strictly following safety protocols.

Profil recherché

• Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in engineering within a mining and project-based environment.
• Technical qualification: Grade 12/N2, Welder/Fitter certificate (Section 13/26D), or an Electrical Trade Certificate.
• Strong knowledge of SANS 10142 standards.
• Project management experience is highly advantageous.
• Must possess a valid Category B (Code 08) driver's license and be medically fit for mining operations.

Competences requises

• Advanced proficiency in SAP (specifically PM and MM modules).
• Strong IT skills: MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering maintenance.
• Rigorous adherence to Health and Safety regulations.
