Senior Lecturer - Future of Work Specialist

About the Position

The Centre for the Future of Work, within the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at the University of Pretoria, is seeking a distinguished Senior Lecturer. This transdisciplinary, research-driven center is dedicated to understanding and shaping the evolution of work across the African continent.

Main Missions

• Lead high-impact research projects focused on the future of work themes.
• Deliver high-quality teaching at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate (Master's) levels.
• Manage research projects and develop long-term research strategies.
• Engage with industry leaders and policymakers to influence work evolution.
• Contribute to skill development initiatives and academic administration.
• Supervise Master's and Doctoral students, guiding their academic progression.
• Participate in strategic departmental initiatives including fundraising and community engagement.
• Publish original research in accredited, high-impact scientific journals.

Candidate Profile

• PhD in Industrial Psychology is mandatory.
• Minimum of three years of relevant higher education teaching experience.
• Proven track record with at least two accredited publications or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in supervising at least two Master's students or significant industrial expertise.
• Evidence of strong professional engagement and leadership in the field.
