Senior Interior Designer – Luxury Residential & Kitchen (Hybrid)

About the role

Our client, a well‑established design studio specialising in luxury residential interiors, is looking for a Senior Interior Designer to lead high‑end residential and kitchen projects. The role is hybrid, with most work performed from home and weekly visits to the Gauteng office for site inspections and client meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead interior design projects from briefing through concept development to final installation.
• Create space‑planning layouts, design concepts, mood boards and presentation material.
• Produce detailed technical drawings, construction documents and joinery details.
• Design bespoke kitchens, built‑in cabinetry and custom interior elements.
• Source finishes, fixtures, furnishings and materials within project budgets.
• Manage project administration, specifications, procurement schedules and supplier coordination.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure design intent and quality standards are met.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional interior design experience, preferably in high‑end residential projects.
• Proven experience in kitchen design, custom joinery and bespoke cabinetry.
• Ability to manage projects independently from concept to completion.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
