Senior Developer – Data & Analytics

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Developer to support decision‑makers and insights teams by turning large, complex data sets into valuable client solutions. You will thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment that values growth, teamwork and solution‑oriented results. The role is hybrid and based in Cape Town or Durban.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise advanced analytical data models and transformation workflows that convert raw data into business intelligence.
• Write complex SQL to codify business logic and use Python (or similar) to automate analytical processes.
• Define architectural patterns and engineering standards for the team, acting as the primary escalation point for complex logic and system bottlenecks.
• Design analytical frameworks and automated statistical validation methods to ensure data consistency and quality.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to insights teams, translating high‑level business goals into technical roadmaps.
• Mentor junior developers and promote sound development practices.

Required profile

• Proven technical leadership experience in data provisioning for clients and insights teams.
• Strong ability to manage stakeholder expectations and align project scope with organisational capacity.
• Experience working with broad and deep data sets in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills
