Senior Associate Architect – Lead Projects

About the role

dhk Architects is seeking a Senior Associate Architect to lead and deliver complex projects across the built environment. You will shape design, coordination, documentation and construction supervision while upholding the studio’s design ethos and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver mixed‑use, commercial, residential, hospitality, civic and education projects.
• Oversee design development, construction documentation and on‑site supervision.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, client vision and financial objectives.
• Contribute to the strategic direction and management of the practice.
• Mentor junior staff and promote innovation within the studio.

Required profile

• SACAP‑registered Professional Architect.
• Minimum 15 years post‑qualification experience in architectural practice.
• Proven track record delivering large, complex projects across multiple sectors.
• Strong academic background with recognised architectural qualifications.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and willingness to travel as required.

Required skills

• Expert proficiency in Revit and BIM Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Working knowledge of Enscape, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Microsoft Office tools.
• In‑depth understanding of construction documentation, detailing and building systems.
