Senior Architectural Technologist

About the role

Blue Projects is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to join its Project Delivery & Engineering team in Durban. The role will focus on architectural design, BIM model management and multidisciplinary coordination for commercial, education and industrial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural designs and construction documentation using Revit and BIM.
• Lead and manage BIM models, 3D coordination, schedules and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and clients throughout all project phases.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and adoption of best practices and new technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology or a related field (or a 4‑year Post‑Graduate Diploma with extensive experience).
• Solid experience as an Architectural Technologist, preferably on large‑scale projects.
• Experience working within large, multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Detail‑oriented, solution‑driven and able to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Revit.
• Strong experience with cloud‑based BIM collaboration and document control.
• Understanding of BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination.
