Senior Accountant – Outsourced Accounting (Projects Team)

About the role

The Senior Accountant in the Outsourced Accounting – Projects Team will set up new clients, manage processes and deliver ad‑hoc projects. You will prepare and review accounting work for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely delivery while supporting junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review accounting records, reconciliations, management accounts and financial reports for multiple clients.
• Ensure all client deliverables meet agreed timelines, service standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain organised supporting documentation for all client work.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other client reporting requirements.
• Identify discrepancies, risks or unusual transactions and raise them with the Accounting Manager.
• Apply internal controls and review procedures to minimise errors.
• Proactively resolve potential issues and escalate when necessary.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, responding to queries promptly.

Required profile

• Recent CA(SA) qualification – non‑negotiable.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and practical experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a proactive mindset.
• Organisational and time‑management skills to handle multiple deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
