Sales Manager – Northern Cape Region

About the role

Syngenta is looking for a self‑motivated, target‑driven Sales Manager to lead its growth strategy in the Northern Cape region. You will be the primary point of contact for dealers, agents and growers, providing technical support, recommendations and training to maximise crop yields while protecting the environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional business strategies aligned with overall sales and marketing objectives.
• Manage key account relationships, applying KAM principles to designated customers.
• Gather market information, prepare budgets, forecasts and business plans, and negotiate partnership agreements.
• Build and maintain relationships with institutes, opinion leaders and influencers across the food/feed value chain.
• Identify crop, product and market opportunities and threats, and support agents and growers with technical solutions.
• Handle complaints and claims as the first line of contact to minimise financial loss.
• Train and motivate dealers and agents, providing sales support tools and promotional materials.
• Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategies to meet changing market requirements.

Required profile

• University degree in Agriculture or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in crop protection, with a proven record of achieving targets.
• At least 3 years of key‑account management experience.
• Strong knowledge of crops, protection products and farming practices.
