About the role

PepsiCo is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead and grow the Grains and Bakeries portfolio across the assigned region. The role focuses on driving current business performance while identifying and securing new customers within the independent wholesale and retail channels.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales plans for volume, price, and promotions to meet regional targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and distributors.
  • Negotiate shelf space, distribution agreements, and promotional opportunities.
  • Manage promotional assets, POS materials, coolers, and in‑store activations.
  • Coordinate with brand ambassadors, area managers, and new product development teams for launches and feedback.
  • Analyze sales forecasts, ensure adequate stock, and work with demand planning to support distributors.
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends to keep the portfolio competitive.
  • Control working capital items such as debtor days, claims, and product returns.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in sales management within the food or beverage sector.
  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Leadership capability to manage third‑party brand ambassadors and internal teams.
